Description

This is a churchyard cross located about 3 metres southeast of the porch at Culbone Church. It dates from the 15th century and was restored in 1966. The cross is made of red sandstone and Ham stone. It features a two-stage calvary with a lower stage that has a moulded plinth and remains of nosing on the upper stage. The structure includes a square socket with a moulded plinth, broached corners, and sunk quatrefoil panels. The octagonal shaft, topped by a cross, was added during the 1966 restoration.
