Description
Greenlands is a house that was formerly a farmhouse, likely built in the 17th century and modernised in the late 19th to early 20th century. It is constructed of plastered granite stone rubble, possibly with some cob, and features stone rubble stacks topped with 19th-century brick. The house has a thatched roof and a three-room plan facing east. The outer rooms have end stacks, while the central room has an axial stack that backs onto the right room. The precise internal layout is not known, but there appears to be a two-storey porch from the 17th century to the left of the centre. The exterior has an irregular five-window front with late 19th to early 20th-century casements that include glazing bars, and the current front door is located behind a 20th-century gabled porch. The roof is hipped at each end. The interior was not available for inspection during the survey, but a previous description mentions a granite ashlar fireplace.
