Description
This is a headstone located in St Michael's Churchyard, approximately 8 metres south-west of the south porch. It dates from 1677 and is made of granite. The stone is thick and broad, featuring a shouldered, rounded top. The front of the headstone has a carved inscription commemorating Mary Bound, who was buried on 14th October 1677. The reverse side contains a carved message, which reads: "It was desired by her who lyeth here interred untill the Resurrection that her bones should not be moved."
