Description
The Sanctuary is a house dating from the early 19th century, with later additions on the south side. It is constructed of rendered stone and features a slated roof. Each gable has a stone coping and a small chimneystack on top. The building is two storeys high, with a single-storey addition to the right. The front is symmetrical with three windows. The ground floor has a 20th-century glazed porch in the centre, which replaced an original wooden porch with pilasters. On either side of the porch are French windows with glazing bars. The second storey features a round-arched sash window in the centre, with the lower sash having six panes and the upper sash having radial bars extending from a round-headed middle pane. The windows on either side have triple sashes, with six panes in the centre and two panes in the side sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
