Description
The Village Hall, which was formerly the vicarage barn, is located abutting the Vicarage Gatehouse on the west side in Hennock. It likely dates from the 17th century or earlier. The building has solid, roughcast walls, with some repairs made in 19th-century brick. It features a corrugated iron roof, which is said to cover thatch. The north front is windowless and has a segmental-headed doorway at the right-hand end, which contains a late 19th-century or early 20th-century plank door. On the left-hand gable, there is another late 19th-century plank door with strap-hinges and chamfered ribs that cover the joins between the planks. A 20th-century window is present in the second storey. Currently, no features are visible inside as the roof is boarded. The building is included for its group value.
