Description

The Thomas Hamlyn chest tomb, located about 6 metres south west of the Church of St James the Apostle in Christow, is a mid-19th century structure made of Portland stone. It features a rectangular shape with a plinth, panelled sides and ends, and an oversailing lid. The inscription on the tomb commemorates Thomas Hamlyn, who died in 1847.
