Description

This is a headstone dated 1789, located approximately 10 metres north of the aisle of the Church of St Andrew in South Tawton. It commemorates Henry Coss and is made of granite. The upright slab stands about 400mm high and features a low elliptical head. The front of the headstone has a simple incised border and is inscribed with Roman serif upper and lower case lettering, detailing the death of Henry Coss and the year 1789.
