Description
This headstone, located in St Michael's Churchyard about 9 metres south of the south-east corner of the south transept, dates from 1703. It is likely made of slatestone and features a short, thin design with a rounded, shouldered top. The face of the stone is carved with a skull and crossbones, and below this is an inscription commemorating Elizabeth, the wife of Stephen Laskey, who died on 21 'FABR' 1702 (which corresponds to February 1703 in modern dating). In the burial register, she is referred to as Elizabeth Lascomb.
