Description

This is a headstone dated 1750, located approximately 5 metres north of the tower of the Church of St Andrew in South Tawton. It commemorates John Damerel and is made of granite. The upright, round-headed slab stands about 600mm high. The front features a simple incised frame and is inscribed with neat Roman serif lettering in both upper and lower case, detailing the death of John Damerel in 1750.
