Description

The Lethbridge headstone, located approximately 8 metres south of the aisle of the Church of St. Andrew, is a Grade II listed structure, likely dating from the 18th century. Made of granite, this upright slab features an elliptical head and stands about 700mm high. The head is adorned with a carved winged cherub's head. Below this, the inscription is in Roman serif upper and lower case lettering, commemorating the death of John Lethbridge, although the date is not legible.
