Description
The stables and coach houses, located approximately 35 metres north of Oxenham Manor, are likely from the early 19th century. They are constructed of granite stone rubble, featuring large roughly-dressed quoins and granite ashlar voussoirs, with a corrugated iron roof that was formerly thatch. The building has an L-shaped layout, with the main block facing south towards Oxenham Manor and a short wing projecting from the right (east) end. The main block has a symmetrical front with four doorways, each having a hayloft loading hatch directly above, flanked by wide carriage doorways. The inner face of the wing includes two carriage doorways with a central window. All ground floor doorways have low segmental arches made of granite voussoirs, and both roofs are gable-ended. The interior has not been inspected.
