Description
This is a row of seven adjacent headstones located approximately 4 metres west of the tower of the Church of St Andrew. The headstones date from the 17th century and early 18th century. They are made of granite and are relatively small, with the largest standing about 600 millimetres tall. Most of the headstones have rounded or elliptical tops. The earliest headstone, which is the third from the left, is simply inscribed with "MV 1655" and features an incised frame. A couple of the headstones have carved winged cherub heads, including the fourth from the left, which is notably inscribed on both sides and commemorates the deaths of the children, William and Honor Knapman.
