Description
This boundary stone, dated 1853, is located on the western parish boundary about 300 meters north-west of the Haytor road in Bovey Tracey. It is made of granite and features a low, round-headed design. One side is inscribed with the lettering "DS 1853" in a grotesque typeface, while the other side bears the name "PRINCE ALBERT." This stone is the first in a series of named boundary stones that run north-west across the moor.
