Description

Bridge House is a late 18th-century building, incorporating elements of a 16th or 17th-century house. Constructed of ashlar, it has a mansard roof and three storeys. The facade features five ranges of double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. A central doorway is distinguished by a fanlight, rusticated pilasters, an entablature, and a modillion cornice. The central window on the first floor is similarly distinguished with fluted rusticated pilasters and an entablature. The rear elevation exhibits a door framed by 16th or 17th-century banded pilasters and a Doric entablature; and another with banded 16th or 17th-century voussoirs and strapwork cartouche. The interior retains good fireplaces and cornices.
