Description
The houses at 26 and 27 Bath Place, Stroud, were built around 1820. They are a pair of houses with ashlar limestone facades, while the sides and rear are of rubble construction with quoins. The roofs are slate-covered. Each house has three storeys and two bays. Architectural details include projecting plinths and a string course. The front doors are six-panelled. The upper floors of each house feature blind windows in the outer bay, which are designed to look like sash windows with painted details. Later Victorian sash windows are also present. A modern porch has been added to number 26. The interior of number 26 retains original features, including doors, cupboards, a first-floor fire surround, a wooden stair, and panel partitions. The interior of number 27 was not inspected.
