Description

This is a mid-19th century house constructed of ashlar, with a Mansard slate roof. It is two storeys and attics in height and features a moulded eaves cornice and a plain string course above the ground floor. The west front has four ranges of double-hung sash windows, with two yent-de-boeuf windows (windows with a convex-shaped top) in the attic. A Tuscan colonnade of ashlar forms a verandah to the ground floor. The south front has three ranges of double-hung sash windows, and a canted bay at the east end. There are three segment-headed attic dormers with double-hung sash windows, and a single oeil-de-boeuf window (a round window) above the canted bay. A rusticated porch features paired Tuscan columns and a segment-headed, panelled door with a sculpted head on the keystone. An elaborate glass conservatory is situated to the east.
