Description
Manor Farmhouse, originally a manor house, is now divided into two houses in a row. It dates from the early 17th century but underwent significant alterations in the 19th century. The building is constructed of random rubble limestone, featuring one artificial stone chimney and two red brick chimneys, all under a stone slate roof.
The south front displays scattered windows and two doorways: one has a four-panel door and the other a partly glazed 20th-century door, both with deep stone lintels. The remaining windows are 19th and 20th-century casements with timber or stone lintels. On the ground floor, there are two 16-pane sash windows on the centre right, with one above, and three roof dormers.
The west end features a projecting chimney stack with two rebuilt brick shafts. The back of the house has wings with exposed purlins and plank doors with timber lintels, with fenestration similar to the front. There are also plank doors leading to a garage at the west end. Most signs of the house's former manorial status have disappeared. Additionally, there is a privy with a dovecot in the garden to the north. The farmhouse is listed for its group value.
