Description

The railway bridge under the road in Moreton-in-the-Marsh was built around 1853 or 1859 for the Oxford, Worcester and Wolverhampton Railway, designed by engineer Sir John Fowler. The bridge is skewed and constructed from golden ashlar that is lightly rusticated and vermiculated. It features a wide elliptical arch with plain ashlar voussoirs and a key. There is a band below the parapet and battered retaining walls.
