Description

The Fletcher monument is a pedestal tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 7 meters south of the chancel of the Church of St. John. It dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century and is made of sandstone. The tomb is square in shape and features raised panels on the ends, which are moulded at both the top and bottom. There are raised rectangular inscription panels on the sides. The top of the monument is moulded, and it has a cavetto moulded base. The north side is inscribed with the names of JOHN FLETCHER, who died in 1771, and his wife ANN, who died in 1807.
