Description
The Rectory is an early 18th-century town house that was altered in the late 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings around the windows and features a Cotswold stone roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with three windows arranged in a 1-2 pattern, and a projecting two-storey porch on the left side. The windows are 19th-century sashes set in moulded stone surrounds with shouldered architraves. The entrance features Victorian panelled double doors. There is a moulded wooden eaves cornice and timbered gables on the porch and two dormers. A higher rear wing suggests the presence of an earlier building, and the rear has a gable with a dovecot. The interior retains good original panelling and a staircase.
