Description
Kingcomb Farmhouse is an 18th-century house that was extended in the 19th century. The original part is built of limestone ashlar with a plain tile roof, while the later extension features coursed and squared limestone walls. The house has a symmetrical two-room plan with a central staircase hall and is two stories high with an attic. There is a two-room, two-story end wing.
The east front has three windows with original sash windows and beaded surrounds, and keystone lintels above. The central doorway features a projecting stone hood supported by curved stone brackets. There is a moulded stone eaves cornice, and two stone chimneys at the ridge on the parapet gables, each topped with moulded caps. The attic includes two dormer windows.
The south wing has a two-story elevation with two windows; these windows are three-light recessed chamfered mullioned. The west gable has a roll saddle, and there is a restored stone chimney on the east side with a moulded string and cap. The farmhouse occupies a dominant position in the landscape.
