Description

Symes House, also known as Joan Wadley, Fashions, is a building from the early to mid 19th century located on the southeast side of High Street. It stands three storeys tall and is rendered with a slate roof that features a brick chimney on the left side. The building has two windows on the upper floors, which are fitted with glazing bar sashes. The ground floor showcases a mid 19th-century shop front, characterized by angled glazing bar windows that flank a half-glazed door, all covered by a common canopy. To the right of the shop front, there is a six-panelled house door.
