Description

The Lanterns are an early to mid-19th century building on the south-east side of High Street. Originally a pair of houses, they are constructed with a stuccoed stone front and appear somewhat out of character within the streetscape. The building is three storeys high, with two angled three-light bays, flanked by full-height narrow and fluted pilasters, and topped with a corniced parapet. It features glazing bar sash windows with lead flashing. The central entrance has paired panelled doors with lozenge overlights. The building's presence adds to the varied architectural nature of Chipping Campden’s High Street.
