Description
This is a square pedestal tomb located approximately 4.5 meters south of the chancel of the Church of St. Bartholomew, dating from the late 18th century. It is made of limestone and features square side panels adorned with various decorations. The tomb has a cavetto moulded top and a fluted base that would have supported an urn or ball finial, which is now missing.
On the north side, there is a round-headed and moulded inscription panel set on a larger fielded panel, with fluted end returns connecting to the adjacent panels. The east side displays floral carving, while the south side has a large recessed inscription panel with an enriched border. The west side features a central cherub's head at the top, with a festoon draped over it, linking to flanking panels that include a ribbon bow and floral carving below. Unfortunately, all inscriptions on the tomb are now illegible.
