Description

A short terrace of three, possibly four, cottages, dating from the 18th century. It has been altered since its original construction and is now used as two separate dwellings. The walls are of coursed limestone rubble, with a Cotswold stone roof and renewed stone ridge tiles. There are also ridge stacks at the right end. The front has two and two windows. Number 6, on the left, features timber lintels above first-floor 2-light casement windows with iron opening lights and leaded glazing. It also has a late 20th-century timber lintel over a remodelled ground-floor opening containing two 2-light casements, stone jambs, a lintel, a blocked doorway on the left, and a late 20th-century half-glazed door set in a likely inserted opening to the right. Number 7 has a late 20th-century half-glazed door set in an opening with stone jambs and lintel, a lintel over a blocked opening to the left, a stone lintel and jambs to a late 20th-century 2-light casement to the right, and 20th-century casements set in raking half dormers above. The interior was not inspected. The left part of the terrace has wooden lintels, while Number 7 has raking half dormers above the first floor. Three of the original doors have been blocked.
