Description
Eastown Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early to mid-19th century. It features rendered stone rubble walls and a gable-ended slate roof, supported by two brick gable end stacks. The building has a double depth symmetrical four-room plan, with a central stairhall and two principal front rooms.
The exterior is two storeys high with an attic and presents a symmetrical three-window front. All the original sash windows have 16 panes, except for the central first-floor window, which has 12 panes. A central Doric porch with granite pillars leads to the original six-panel door, which is topped by a rectangular fanlight. The farmhouse also displays rusticated plaster quoins and original two and three-light small-paned casements at the rear. Each gable end features a second-storey window with an arched head. The interior has not been inspected.
