Description

This listing describes a pair of adjacent headstones located approximately 25 metres east of the north aisle of the Church of St Michael in Spreyton. These headstones date from the late 17th century or 18th century. They are made of granite and are small upright slabs with shaped heads, each standing about 350 millimetres high. The fronts of the headstones are inscribed with large, crude capital letters. Only the right headstone is legible, which bears the name of Mary Trew; the date of her death is not visible as it is buried.
