Description
The schoolroom, located about 10 meters southeast of Lower Alsworthy Farmhouse, is a disused building likely dating from the 19th century. It is rendered over rubble and cob, featuring a half hipped slate roof and an external brick stack on the east front. The building has a single cell layout with an entrance on the north front. It is one storey high and consists of one bay. The north front has a square-headed opening with a plank door, and there is a steeply chamfered arris at the north-west corner that runs out just above the lintel height. The west front is unlit, while the south front includes a segmental-headed opening with a tripartite sash window. The interior has not been seen. The building is listed primarily for its group value.
