Description

The Morish headstone, dated 1784, is located approximately 35 metres south-south-west of the tower of the Church of St Giles in the Wood. This headstone commemorates Prudence Morish and is made of slate. It features an upright slab with a shaped head, standing about 500 millimetres high. On each side of the front, there are carved fluted columns, and above these is a segmental arch. At the top, a calligraphic style skull and crossbones is depicted.
