Description
The cross shaft, located approximately 0.3 metres west of the tower of the Church of St Petrox, is a late medieval structure or possibly an 18th-century pedestal for a sundial. Made of granite, the shaft stands about 1.4 metres high and is set into a socket stone on a 19th or 20th-century plinth. The corners of the shaft are chamfered with step stops at both the top and bottom. The top of the shaft is reduced and appears to have once been fitted into another stone.
