Description
The barn range located north-west of Coombe Farm consists of farm outbuildings, including a bank barn, dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of slate stone rubble with slate roofs. The main structure is a long, two-storey barn built into a bank, featuring a half-hipped roof. Along the yard side, there are several doorways with segmental voussoired heads, and above these, two similar loading openings to the right. A row of square pigeon openings is also present. To the left of the pigeon openings, there is a plain wall that marks a straight joint, indicating where the barn was extended. The outer face includes a large cart entry, a partially blocked opening to the left, a loading opening with a small half-gable, and another square opening, all positioned at upper ground level. The roof structure is supported by a 12-bay king post. The smaller attached unit is two storeys high and features a segmental-headed opening below a loading door. The unit at the west end, which is angled, is not of special interest.
