Description

Yealm Bridge is a road bridge over the River Yealm, built around the early 19th century. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a single span with a wide segmental arch. There is a small flood arch at the west end of the bridge. The parapet has plain coping, and there are pilaster piers at the ends of the abutments. The bridge was recorded in 1809 as being "very old" and having three arches, indicating that the current structure must have been built after that date.
