Description

This is an unidentified chest tomb located approximately 10 metres south of the Church of St Mary in Dipford. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of dressed slate. The tomb features a moulded slate cornice and a slate lid that has an inscription. Although the inscription is currently unreadable due to overgrowth, it seems to include the date 1803.
