Description

The churchyard gate piers and gates south of the Church of St Mary date from around the mid-19th century. They consist of a pair of dressed slate gate piers that are square in shape and topped with granite pyramidal caps. There is also a likely later addition of an overthrow that supports a lamp. The gates are made of moulded cast iron and feature a quatrefoiled mid-rail along with intersecting cusped tracery beneath the top rail, which is adorned with cresting above.
