Description

No. 71 High Street is an early 19th century refronting of an older building. It is a two-window, three-and-a-half storey structure with a Welsh slate roof featuring a gabled front. The front is timber-framed and slate-hung, with masonry party walls, and contains modern sash windows. A shopfront dating to the early 19th century features half-round columns on high bases enriched with palmettes, supporting a bracketted entablature with a projecting cornice. A modern shop window is present. The house door is raised and fielded with six panels, and is topped with a hood supported by cut brackets.
