Description
Presbury Farmhouse is a farmhouse built around 1870-1880. It is constructed of unrendered stone rubble with brick dressings and features a slate roof. The roof has large gable end brick stacks with oversailing courses at the capping, as well as additional brick stacks on the right side and the gable end of the rear service wing. The building has a symmetrical layout with a two-room and central staircase plan, along with a wide gable-ended service wing at the rear center. It stands two storeys high and has a three-window range that is symmetrical. The 19th-century windows are entirely intact, featuring 16-paned hornless sashes, with brick quoins and lintels that include keystones. The porch, made of brick and stone rubble, has a gabled slate roof and four-paned side windows. This farmhouse is a very well-preserved example of a typical late 19th-century farmhouse from the Rolle estate.
