Description
The Tamlyn headstone with an accompanying footstone is located approximately 10 metres south of the south-west corner of the nave of the Church of St James in Arlington. This pair of gravestones dates from 1816 and is made of slate with shaped heads. The headstone features a figure of an angel blowing a trumpet above the inscription dedicated to John Tamlyn, who died in 1816. The footstone includes a verse and an urn at its head.
