Description
The cider house, located approximately 50 metres north of Wellesley Farmhouse, is a structure likely dating from the 17th century. It is built from stone rubble with some cob and features a corrugated asbestos roof with gable ends, while the rear has a corrugated iron roof. The building has a rectangular plan with a rear outshut and a loft at the lower end.
On the left end, there is a loft opening above a timber mullion window that has three narrow pointed arched lights. The window opening has a timber surround and iron stanchions above it, with a square window opening to the right of the double plank doors. The right gable end has a square window that is boarded over. Inside, two large stop-chamfered beams support the loft floor. The roof timbers were replaced in the 20th century.
