Description
West Molland Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the 18th century and was remodeled in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of rendered stone rubble and features a slate roof with gable end brick stacks, as well as a brick shaft for a lateral stone rubble stack at the rear left end. The building has a double depth plan, with a principal room on each side of a central staircase, a kitchen at the rear left side, and a dairy at the rear right side.
The exterior is two storeys high and has a three-window range. The late 19th-century windows are intact, consisting of nine-paned two-light casements above a three-light casement, with six panes per light and cambered lintels on either side of the plank door. Inside, the farmhouse was remodeled in the mid to late 19th century, and much of the joinery from that period remains. There is a large blocked opening at the right gable end, which may have been a doorway to the loft.
