Description
Webbery Moor Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the late 17th century, possibly as a remodelling of an earlier house, with 19th-century windows. It is constructed of whitened plastered cob on stone rubble footings, with the rear elevation unplastered. The roof is slate and gabled at both ends, featuring an axial stack and a right end stack. The building has a single depth plan that is three rooms wide, with the central room heated by an axial stack and a lobby entrance positioned against the stack. The left room is unheated, while the right room's stack may have been added later and it may also have been unheated originally. There is a rear right outshut that is likely later than the main range.
The exterior is two storeys high with an asymmetrical four-window front. There is a 19th-century front door to the left of centre and a second door to the right of centre leading into the right room. The windows are an attractive mix of 2-, 3-, and 4-light 19th-century small-pane casements. The interior has not been fully inspected, but a chamfered crossbeam remains in the centre room, and other early features may be hidden behind plaster. The roof has not been inspected, but it is reported by the owner to be entirely new. The farmhouse has remained virtually unaltered since the 19th century.
