Description
This is a farmbuilding, likely a shippon and stable with a loft above, built in 1877 for William Keates, who owned the Bishop's Nympton estate. It is constructed from stone rubble with red brick dressings and has a slate roof that is gabled at both ends. The building has an L-shaped plan, with the north block adjoining the farmhouse.
The exterior features a three-bay front on the north block, which includes 19th-century plank doors on the left and right, and a 20th-century door in the center, along with three two-light loft windows. The longer south block has three doors and three windows on the ground floor, as well as two loft doors. A plaque on the building displays the initials WK and the date 1877. The interior has not been inspected. The building has group value with the farmhouse.
