Description
This lychgate, located approximately 15 metres east of the Church of St John Baptist, dates from the late 19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a slate roof adorned with gable end finials. The walls on each side are also made of stone rubble. Inside, there are two archbraced trusses with pendants that spring from open crossed timber-framing at the tops of the walls. The gates are designed with crossed framing and have twisted iron finials on the top rail.
