Description

This former barn, located southwest of East Barton House, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of stone rubble with brick dressings and features a slate roof with gable ends. The building has a long rectangular shape and is a single storey. The front gable displays a castellated parapet with a central crocketted pinnacle above a pitching doorway that has a timber lintel. On the south side, there is a double doorway with a cambered brick arch. The rear gable end has been rebuilt using weatherboarding and breeze blocks.
