Description

No. 8 Broad Street is a late 18th-century building, although it may incorporate an earlier structure. It was known as the Angel Inn during the 18th century. The building has a three-story facade constructed of red brick, topped with a slated roof and a moulded cornice. It features five sash windows with rubbed brick arches, each with vertical glazing bars. The central window on the second floor is tripartite, while the central window on the first floor is a three-light canted bay. A wide doorcase is present, incorporating Tuscan half columns and a dentilled entablature.
