Description

The twin headstone, dating from the late 18th century, is located approximately 1 metre south of the east end of the nave of the Church of St Michael in East Anstey. It features twin semi-circular arched shapes and bears inscriptions dedicated to Jane Hoskins, who died in 1794, and Thomas Tanner, a gentleman who died in 1797. There is also a verse inscribed at the base of the headstone.
