Description
This linhay, located 180 metres north of Batten's, dates back to 1790. It features a random rubble chert plinth with cob stone and has a gable end roof made of corrugated iron. The gable walls are also constructed from corrugated iron. The structure consists of five bays, with posts that have curved braces pegged to them, supporting principals in a devolved form of jointed crucks. The main beams of the tallet are supported on the corbel-like jowls of the timber posts. This linhay is a notable example of late 18th century vernacular joinery traditions, and the datestone on the right-hand end wall reads "W.B. 1790".
