Description
Libbet's Well is a well, likely dating from the 17th century or earlier, constructed of stone rubble. It is located within the cob garden wall of Priory Cottage. The well features a rough round-headed stone arch with a vaulted stone roof, which is covered by the cob garden wall. Water from the well flows into a small basin in front and then moves through the back garden of No 17 Church Street before connecting to the town sewer beneath the road.
