Description
This is a group of five headstones located about 8 metres north of the nave, consisting of four Galsworthy headstones and one for William Quant. They date from the early 19th century and are made of stone. The headstones have a nowy shape, with all but the northernmost being shouldered, likely crafted by the same workshop. The northernmost headstone commemorates Elizabeth Galsworthy, who died in 1819, featuring cherubim carvings at the top and a verse below the inscription. The next headstone commemorates Ann Galsworthy, who died in 1834, followed by William Galsworthy, who died in 1821. Slightly to the southeast is the headstone for William Quant, who died in 1827. This group is notable for its good lettering and scrollwork details.
