Description

These are two attached buildings, numbers 35 and 37 Cowick Street, dating to around 1810. They are part of a terrace of properties numbered 35 to 43. Numbers 38 and 39 within the terrace are largely unchanged. The buildings are constructed of red brick, and extend to three storeys. They have sash windows with glazing bars, and inserted shopfronts. The roofs are slate-covered, with attic dormers. The buildings are included on the list for their contribution to the wider group value of the surrounding properties and St Thomas’s Church.
