Description

This is a three-storey red brick house located on Countess Wear Road. It was built around 1770, but significantly altered in the Queen Anne style in 1889, resulting in a loss of much of its original character. The house has a modillion cornice and lunette windows at the rear. It features stone quoins and painted keystones. The entrance is of a Jacobean Baroque design, incorporating a clock above the doorway, while curved screen walls are present with piers and ball finials. Venetian windows are also a feature. Other external details include a sundial and a hipped slate roof. Inside, one fireplace is of Rococo design.
